Similar to the other 2022 Legion laptops, the Legion 5i is built with the innovative Legion Coldfront 4.0 thermal system. This new and improved thermal system helps the Legion 5i defeat the heat with its expansive five heat pipe layout, dual 12V fans with 67 0.5mm liquid crystal polymer blades that are 140% more powerful and up to 170W of total system TDP.

The Legion Coldfront 4.0 also utilises a dedicated copper thermal system and four copper heat sinks that let the Legion 5i stay cool and quiet even when under heavy loads or after long hours of usage.

Million-dollar looks

The design of the Legion 5i is reminiscent of its predecessors as it still retains a very clean-cut and minimalist design. However, we have given refinements that make it look even sleeker than before. The Storm Grey and Cloud Grey aluminium and magnesium covers make the Legion 5i look extremely sophisticated and also add to the overall durability of the laptop.

While the Legion 5i is 15% thinner than the previous generation coming in at only 19.9mm thin, we have added in thoughtful features such as a Zero-Bump Hinge and I/O notch that helps to prevent snags or lost USB dongles. For added security and privacy, a webcam E-Shutter privacy switch also ensures your webcam is turned off when you want it off.
